Tracked attendance numbers are lower than previously reported due to a change in how attendances are being tracked for reporting purposes from 2025. Attendance numbers no longer include a number of events or activities such as Breakfast Clubs, Out-of-School Hours Programs and Parent Information Sessions. Reported figures are therefore an underrepresentation of overall attendances on site.
Analysis
In 2025, implementation at Robinvale continued to be shaped by local workforce challenges and limited service availability, affecting how consistently supports could be delivered on-site. Despite this, the site’s local partnerships and shared school facilities continued to provide a foundation for stable engagement with families. These conditions highlighted the importance of stable staffing, adequate community resourcing and coordinated investment to fully realise the site’s potential and support consistent, long-term engagement.

- Building a local workforce: The Early Years Workforce Development Partnership supported 20+ community members into ECEC qualifications, with 10 people now employed, lifting local workforce capacity by up to 44%.
- Attracting new services: Regional organisations including Deakin University, Regional Arts Victoria and Ambulance Victoria, delivered programs on site, enabled by shared infrastructure and strong community connection.
- Cross-border engagement: An outreach trial at Euston Primary strengthened connections with NSW families and pathways into Robinvale College, resulting in 60+ parent and carer engagements, multiple service referrals and new provider relationships.
- Access to early years support: Use of the Online Early Years Hub increased by approximately 50% following the introduction of translations and a chatbot to help support families access the services they need.
- Community-wide participation: The Robinvale Euston Workforce Network supported over 4% of the local population through skills development, language support and pre-employment training.
- Continuity of learning: Long term collaboration across all local schools, early learning and playgroups will continue to improve continuity across the community and to introduce the use of the Early Language and Literacy Developmental Index (ELLDI) assessment tool.
- Early Childhood Workforce: The highly successful workforce program will be continued, supporting existing students to complete their studies and onboarding a new cohort of local students through locally developed training pathways.
- Parent support for children’s learning: Children’s home learning environments will be strengthened by the implementation of the Peep Learning Together Program and soft entry supports for parents.
- Census 2026: The 2026 Census will be a rare opportunity to address the systemic under counting and under resourcing of the community. Our Place partners are working together to build community trust and participation in partnership with the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
- Increased community engagement: There will be a shared drive to increase the community’s use of the shared facilities at the school site, to increase trust and awareness of the services on offer.
